Heung Choy

by Produce Coordinator on September 28, 2012

Rita is supplying enough red pak choy to go in the veg and large boxes next week. Julian thinks that it should be called ‘heung’ choy as ‘pak choy’ is Cantonese for white vegetable (as in the standard stuff), whereas ‘heung’ means red. A quick google search returns no results on that front so I think we may have just coined a new phrase!

Cook your heung choy as you would other Asian greens. Eat it earlier in the week for maximum freshness!
