Our Farmers are inspiring examples of local sustainable producers. We support them by paying at least 40¢ for every dollar you spend on a box and by paying them promptly. We also help you find out who is growing your food and how it is being grown. Each week on our blog we’ll tell you a bit about what is going on at the farms. By staying connected with farmers, we believe that we create a fairer and healthier food system.
Our farmers are all the most local commercial suppliers and are either certified organic or have a signed agreement that commits them to supplying us with only chemical-free produce (in other words, produce grown only using inputs allowed under the Australian Organic Standard).
Our ordering deadline is 12 noon the Friday before the delivery as we order from the farmers at this time. This allows our local farmers to plan their harvest and for us to only order exactly what we require and avoid any food waste.
